Positively Red Performance and Q&A session
The Living Archive and Birmingham School of Acting are proud to invite bookings for their 'Positively Red' schools tour.
Running from 29th November - 10th December 2010 'Positively Red' challenges the ignorance, stigma and discrimination faced by people living with HIV and raises awareness of HIV in the West Midlands as part of the World AIDS Day 2010 campaign.
Directed by Hannah Phillips and performed by the BA (Hons) Community & Applied theatre/dance theatre students from BSA, the project is supported by the Birmingham HIV Living Archive's Exhibition and also by HIV Awareness sessions run by the Birmingham HIV Partnership. The Living Archive is a Heritage Lottery Funded project that is collecting the history of HIV in the city, primarily through the recording of 'life story' testimony. Further information about the project and access to the stories is available at www.birminghamlivingarchive.org.uk
Suitable for Key Stage 4 and further education students, the show will cost £110 for a 40 minute performance and a Q&A session.
